Welcome to Audikite. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data when you visit and interact with our platform. Audikite is operated from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. We are committed to absolute transparency and data minimization. Currently, Audikite operates as an accessible music blog and does not require user accounts, nor do we track our visitors.

1. Information We Collect

Because Audikite does not currently support user registration, we collect virtually no personal information. The limited data processed during your visit includes:

• Contact Form & Explicit Consent: If you reach out to us using the dedicated form on our Contact page, we collect your Name, Email Address, Subject, and Message. By actively checking the mandatory consent box, you authorize us to route this data to our secure backend database (Supabase) exclusively to evaluate and respond to your inquiry.
• "Give Your Voice" Campaign Data: When you voluntarily participate in our early supporter registration, we collect specific data to validate platform demand for our partners and shape our architecture. Here is exactly why we ask for what we do:
  • Identity & Contact (Name, Phone, Email): To verify real human support, prevent spam submissions, and notify you when the platform officially launches. We ask for WhatsApp preferences simply to respect your preferred communication channels.
  • Location Data (Academies): To accurately map local density and differentiate between academies with identical names.
  • Professional Goals & Roles (Tutors/Pros): To understand the specific tools you need—whether that means building better features for finding gigs, recruiting band members, or managing students.
  • Music Habits (Fans): To gauge the community's willingness to support local/indie artists and utilize a dedicated music app daily.
  • Your Vision (Opinion Box): To directly influence the UI, features, and overall direction of the Audikite platform based on your direct feedback.
  This data is collected solely through your explicit consent prior to submission and is stored securely.
• Standard Server Logs: Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically processes standard network information, such as your IP address, browser type (User-Agent), and request timestamps. This data is strictly used for routing traffic securely and preventing server abuse. We do not access or store this data for tracking purposes.
• Voluntary Feedback Data: If you use our on-site anonymous feedback tool, the transmission includes your text input, the specific post ID, a timestamp, and your basic browser User-Agent. This is routed securely to our database and does not request your name or email.

2. Cookies and Local Storage

Audikite is entirely free of tracking cookies and third-party analytics scripts.

• Local Storage: We use minimal functional local storage on your device. This includes the AudikiteVIP flag (to remember you have dismissed the initial entry gateway) and an audio index flag (audikite_lofi_idx) to remember your track position in our ambient music player so it doesn't repeat upon refresh. These flags contain no personal data, do not track your browsing behavior across the web, and never leave your device.
• Platform Interactions: Interactive elements on the platform, such as the heart/like slider and the share button, execute entirely locally on your device or utilize your device's native Web Share API. They do not transmit engagement metrics or behavioral data back to our servers.

3. Third-Party Infrastructure

To keep Audikite online and secure, we utilize trusted infrastructure providers:

• Vercel: Utilized for cloud hosting and content delivery.
• Supabase: Utilized as a secure PostgreSQL backend database. It is used to securely route anonymous post feedback and to safely store encrypted entries from our "Give Your Voice" early supporter applications.

Neither of these providers are authorized to use your data for their own marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Data Usage, Sharing, and Advertising

We do not sell, rent, or trade any visitor data. Audikite does not utilize algorithm-based ad networks or behavioral tracking to serve personalized advertisements. Any advertisements or promotional content currently displayed on the platform are strictly contextual and do not rely on user data.

5. Security and Data Retention

We enforce strict security protocols, including utilizing HTTPS with industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit between your browser and our infrastructure. Anonymous feedback entries are read manually, kept confidential, and purged from our database when they are no longer needed for platform improvement.

6. Children's Privacy

Audikite is a general audience platform. In its current state, we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under the age of 18. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has inadvertently provided personal information (for example, by including identifying details in an anonymous feedback form or via direct email), please contact us so we may immediately purge that information.

7. Your Data Rights

Audikite honors global privacy principles, operating in alignment with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, alongside international standards. Because we do not maintain user accounts or tracking profiles, we do not possess structured personal data files for visitors. However, if you have communicated with us directly via email and wish for that correspondence to be deleted, you have the right to request its immediate removal.

8. Policy Updates

As Audikite evolves and introduces new features—such as user accounts, profiles, and media uploads—this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect those operational changes. We will notify visitors of significant updates by revising the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
